Walkies has been shown live to a wide variety of audiences through both in-person screenings and web streams. Our screenings feature in-depth Q&A sessions and have the goal of fostering dialogue with the community.

Ep. 3 Screening: SCI Phoenix
On November 18th, Shuja will be visiting State Correctional Institution — Phoenix to screen Walkies Episode 3 to incarcerated individuals. A longtime goal of the Walkies team, this event marks the first official screening of Walkies inside of a penitentiary.

Reentry and Redemption: Walkies Films Screening and Q&A
Screening, conversation and Q&A of Walkies Films third installment discussing the road map from trauma, crime, incarceration, reentry and ultimately redemption. Catered by mission-led for-profit restaurant, Down North Pizza.

Walkies: Episode 3 Virtual Screening
On Saturday, January 16th at 3:00pm EST, you’re invited to join the African American Museum in Philadelphia for a special virtual screening and third episode premiere Walkies.
This timely and transformational docuseries, hosted by Shuja Moore, focuses on the true-life stories of individuals from our region -- chronicling their experiences with the criminal justice system, and their pathways through redemptive justice, self reflection, and transformation. This special premiere screening includes a conversation with Moore, the Walkies production team, and Sydia Bagley, the subject of the upcoming episode.
Sydia Bagley is a mother, entrepreneur, and returning citizen. In this episode, she shares the trauma of her past, how she ended up in prison, and finding success through her passions.

Walkies: A Conversation with Shuja Moore and Sydia Bagley
In December 2020, Eastern State Penitentiary hosted a discussion with Shuja Moore, creator and executive producer of the docuseries “Walkies” alongside Sydia Bagley, founder and CEO of Locked Down Love, a community-based program aiding returning citizens. In this webinar, they discussed the creation and production of “Walkies” and viewed clips from past and upcoming episodes.

Walkies: Episode 2 Virtual Screening
On May 7th 2020, the Walkies Team hosted a virtual screening for the premiere of Episode 2. This episode tells the story of Kareem “Solo” Shamsiddeen, a south Philly native, who got caught up in crime from an early age. Solo shares how after serving two prison sentences, he was able to transform himself to a life helping others.
The screening included an introduction by the Walkies team and finished off with a Q&A with Solo himself.
